While I do love my luxury items, I love theme parks just as much! Growing up in Orlando near all of the theme parks makes you want to go to them all the time! While I visited Orlando over Memorial weekend, I decided to go to Universal Studios Resort. I have the Seasonal Pass which is great. It would cover me going throughout the year and some part of next year. The best time to buy Universal Passes is during their promotion time at the beginning of the year. It is a really good option if you live nearby or go to the parks a lot. Some passes like the Preferred and Premier passes get you free parking to the parks and CityWalk.
The main attraction for me in Universal Studies is Harry Potter Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. It is my favorite part of the parks and I was excited to go by the Hogwarts Express to travel between them. Hogsmeade is located in Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley is located in Universal Studios.
The whole theme of the parks are so detailed. I overdosed on everything Butterbeer to make sure I had enough of what I wanted before I can go back again. I had the Butterbeer Ice cream (twice!) and Frozen Butterbeer, both which are amazing.
For lunch, I ate at the Leaky Cauldron, where the food was authentic British food. I got the Bangers and Mash which were amazing. I have also previously eaten at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade, which is also just as good.
There are 4 rides between both parks. In Diagon Alley, there is the Harry Potter and Escape from Gringotts (my personal favorite), and in Hogsmeade there are the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the Flight of the Hippogriff. Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure opened on June 13, 2019, so I will have to go on that next trip. I hope that it maybe my favorite ride for the park, but as for now I love Harry Potter and Escape from Gringotts.
I ended up adding a few more items to my Harry Potter arsenal (I already have a Gryffindor shirt and jacket, had the limited edition park opening scarf but was stolen earlier this year). I got a Gryffindor key ring, a souvenir ice cream cup, and the Honeydukes glass jar.
It is a definite visit for any Harry Potter lover. You feel as if you have been transported into the movies (other than the fact there are Muggles walking about) and it is as the Harry Potter movies have come to life!
